A/B Testing
Building the Design System
The product team had an existing design system on InVision, so the marketing team decided to leverage the same tool.
DESIGN SYSTEM ON INVISION
After building the design system on InVision, we found that Invision was not the right platform for the marketing team. A few of the reasons:
Too many tools (InVision and Sketch) created complexity
Invision was great for documentations but difficult collaborating with designers and developers
Doesn’t scale
DESIGN SYSTEM ON FIGMA
The design system on Figma became Signifyd’s single source of truth. Not only that, the design system team has grown and the tool has helped the team collaborate more.
Learnings
Building the design system was challenging yet rewarding process. Being the designer to pioneer the design system was a big task. There were many times when I wasn’t sure if I was doing it right or if it would be something the team would use. However, sharing the design system during our team meetings and getting the team’s feedback was invaluable in shaping the end result. The team made the design system their own.
